Pre-Congress Workshops

The Program Committee of the 2022 International Congress on Integrative Medicine & Health is soliciting proposals for pre-congress workshops to be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, prior to the Congress, which will be held at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix, AZ on May 24-26, 2022. The theme of the Congress will be Advancing Healthcare Together: Inclusive. Informed. Integrative.

The deadline for proposal submission is Friday, July 16, 2021. Please consider the following when preparing your proposal:

  • A pre-congress workshop format that focuses on developing or strengthening skills in research, education, clinical care, and policy. This can be geared for different levels of expertise. We encourage workshops geared for training young researchers/educators/clinicians, as well as more advanced skill building. If particular background is important for the workshop, typical knowledge prerequisites should be clearly stated.
  • Pre-congress workshops offer a longer session (either half-day or full-day) that provides a platform for discussing topics in a more expansive manner than a shorter main congress session allows.
  • The format of each workshop is to be determined by the submitter, but it is expected that they contain ample time for general discussion and audience participation.
  • An additional registration fee will be charged to attendees to attend these workshops; this fee covers space and organizing costs. Please note in your proposal if additional funds are needed for costs of conducting the workshop, details and estimated expenses MUST be included in the submission. All fees will be added to the workshop registration fee if the workshop is accepted.
  • There are no funds or benefits provided for the session leaders.

Workshop proposals will be carefully reviewed and it is anticipated that the selection process will be competitive. Workshops will be selected based on:

  • Ability of the proposed session to advance research, education, and policy in integrative medicine and evidence-based clinical care.
  • Experience and quality of the session leaders and presenters.
  • Potential of the workshop to enhance research, education, policy or clinical skills for participants.
  • Anticipated interest in the workshop.
  • Fit of the workshop goals with the overall mission of the Congress as described above.

All submissions must be completed in it’s entirety to considered (draft proposals are not allowed). Please ensure you have all information ready (including completed CME forms for each presenter) prior to beginning your submission. A confirmation email will be sent after successful receipt of a submission. Edits can be made to your submission (link to edit will be provided in the confirmation email), and a new confirmation email will be sent after successful receipt of edited submission.

Submitters will be notified of their status on Friday, October 1, 2021. All workshops will be scheduled for presentation on Monday, May 23, 2022.
